Open Educational Resources (OER) Workshop for Quality Assurance Agencies

The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) are hosting an Open Educational Resources (OER) Capacity Building Workshop on 3 May 2010. The workshop will coincide with the 2010 Biennal Members’ Forum of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies for Higher Education (INQAAHE) that is taking place from 4-6 May 2010 in Windhoek, Namibia.

This workshop is one in a series organised within a COL-UNESCO Initiative Taking OERs beyond the OER community: Policy and Capacity. The initiative’s aim is to expand understanding of OERs by educational decision makers in order to promote their wider use. In that respect, the quality assurance component is a main objective.
The theme of the workshop is ‘Taking OERs beyond the OER Community: Towards Quality in Higher Education’.
